Three Wise Daisys

This is my DT card for this week’s Cute Daisy May Challenge which is Three of a Kind and my take on it was inspired by a neighbour who would have done well to heed our Daisy’s advice!! In a way he did me a favour though because I thoroughly enjoyed making it and it proved to be very theraputic

I’ve used the same fairy image for all three sections and also the sketch from Truly Scrumptious, using it as drawn for the first piece and turning it for the other two. I loved this sketch and it worked perfectly for what I wanted.

I’ve also made it for two other challenges – Rainbow Lady’s Challenge which is to use script on your project somewhere – it’s on the pink bp and also the cuttlebugging on the white card and I couldn’t resist the colour scheme of pink, black and white on DU2DS. This isn’t one of those situations where what I made happened to fit several challenges, all four have played a deliberate and important part of the whole.

For ’see’ I drew a pair of sunglasses and added them to Dasiy digitally before printing the image as one

For ‘hear’ I again drew the earphones and added them digitally to print off as one image.

For ’speak’, I just used a heart shape in publisher which I got to the size I wanted then copied it several times and again printed it out as one.

The pink bp is from my stash and the black one is one of my own which I made from the picture of last week’s CDM DT card, Dasiy Does Punk! Yes, really – it’s fabulous what you can do with graphics programs isn’t it?? The flowers are from my own Blossoms sheet and have been coloured using a pink sakura stardust pen and finished with a clear flat backed crystal in the centres. Dasiy was coloured with a combination of inktense and twinkling H2Os.
